This is a blog for my amazing friend Michelle Way who is fighting the battle of a lifetime. Michelle has Wilson's disease, a debilitating genetic disease that affects the body's ability to process copper. Overtime internal organs can become damaged, and in Michelle's case her liver is failing. Michelle was officially placed on the transplant list in November 2008; and after a long wait finally received a live-donor transplant on February 16th, 2010!

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you both and your families. I have been following your story for many many months now. We talk about you both often, my daughter just presented her first speech in school (grade 6) and she chose to write about organ donation to bring more awareness to her peers in middle school. I'm so proud of her!

Hey Tracey - I got word from Jarvie that both girls can get CUT FLOWERS (no plants/live flowers)....maybe you could post that so people can send if they want and their rooms filled with brightness! So much love to you for taking on updating all of us...it helps SO much while not being able to be there, Jenny
